28 Reverse Mortgage Marketing Tasks To Outsource

In this blog post I am going to show you why, where and what you should be outsourcing for the marketing and advertising aspects of your reverse mortgage business.

I love marketing.

But there were several things I had to admit very early on in my mortgage career.

I had to admit that I am not good at all aspects of marketing.

I also had to admit that my time was better spent prospecting than it was designing things, doing research, data entry, editing, proof reading etc.

I had to admit that there were people better than me at those things and would produce a much better end product and they would actually get it done in a timely matter.

The reality is that you can outsource virtually all your reverse mortgage marketing and advertising. I am not saying that you should do that. But you can if you want.

Places To Outsource Your Reverse Mortgage Marketing and Advertising Tasks

Fiverr is a freelance website. You can get all kinds of marketing and advertising done for as little as $5 all the way up to several hundred dollars.

I have spent a ton of money on Fiverr and for the most part I am always very happy with the work that gets done there.

Of course, every once in a while I get something that totally sucks. But for $5 I figure I am not out that much.

Things I have had done at Fiverr include:
Graphic Design
Logo
Banners for Social Media
Videos
Display Ads
Flyers
Book Covers
Transcription
Research
Guest Posts
PDF Submissions
Article Submissions
Directory Submission
Video Intro and Outro
Tumblr re-Blogs
Social Signals
Private Blog Networks
Data Mining
Podcast Sponsorships
Press Release Written
Press Release Submission
Vector Illustrations
Infographic Submission
Infographic Design

I just checked and I have bought 375 gigs on Fiverr.

There are a few things I need you to know.

First, in most cases, the internet marketing, search engine optimization gigs are things you want to stay away from unless you know what you are doing. They can do more harm than good.

Second, in most cases, the writing gigs are not that great either.

Third, read the reviews. However, be a little skeptical of gigs with low review counts. Often people will trade gigs to get reviews. Try and stick with gigs that have lots of reviews.

If you are unsure about a gig ask for samples. Gig sellers are often more than happy to show you what they have done.

Keep in mind, that the worst-case scenario for some of these gigs is that you lose $5 because what they gave you sucked or you just did not like it.

If I need a logo I will often order multiple gigs from different providers. I’ll spend $20 to $25 and then use the best one. This method has yet to fail me.

Upwork is another freelance website that you could use to get your mortgage marketing tasks completed.

There is a big difference between Fiverr and Upwork.

With Upwork you create a work assignment or job and then freelancers bid on that job. You can search for people with particular skills. But you still need to create a job for them to bid on.

It can be kind of a pain in the butt. You need to write a clear and concise job description. Then you need to review the candidates. And finally choose who you want to do the work.

You can search to see if there are freelancers with a particular set up skills that you are looking for. If you find them, you can get a general idea on what they would charge for your project.

One of the great things is that once you find someone and the job you have is an ongoing task. You can rehire them for future jobs or even set them up on an hourly wage.

I hired a girl from the Philippines that did directory submission for me. She did a great job, followed all my directions, was timely and was a great communicator.

I have also hired writers and software programmers as well.

The sky is the limit with what you need done. You can hire web designers, models, social media managers, admin support, video creators and editors. What ever you need, you can find someone to do it from a worldwide staff.

It is actually kind of fun. I have worked with people from the Philippines, Iran, Russia, Ireland and of course the United States.

Outsourcing Content to Reverse Mortgage Writers

There are going to be two types of content that you can have written for you. And if you are struggling to find ideas about what you want your writers to write about check out my post on reverse mortgage blog ideas.

1. Money Articles – These are the main articles or blog posts for your reverse mortgage website. You want this content to be solid. It needs to be well written, informative, educational and hopefully gets people to take action.

This could also be content used for guest posts as well.

This content will be more expensive because you want good writers writing it. I prefer to have professional writers that are experienced in the mortgage or real estate Even better is if they have reverse mortgage experience.

Professional writers can cost anywhere from $.05 to as much as $.10 a word or higher. A 500 word article in this scenario could cost $25 to $50.

You can find writers in any of the freelance websites mentioned above or you can also search Google or another great place is LinkedIn. I would also recommend taking a look at Iwriter.com and TextBroker.com.

Here is what I found with a quick search on LinkedIn

2. Marketing Support Articles – These are articles that won’t be used on your website or blog. Instead they will be used for search engine marketing purposes.

What I mean by this is that these articles would be used to build Web 2.0 properties, submitted to article directories, submitted for PDF sharing sites etc.

These articles do not need to be as high quality as your money articles. However, they should not be crap either.

With support articles I am not promoting myself or my reverse mortgage business. These articles in general in nature and simply link back to my main website as a reference.

These types of articles you can get written for $3 to $7. Again, I would test it out to see what you get for quality. In most cases you are going to want to spend a little more to get some decent articles about reverse mortgages.

I mentioned it above. But the fact of the matter is that could outsource just about every aspect of your marketing. You could hire telemarketers, copy writers, ghost authors, call reminders, just about anything you want.

Outsourcing your reverse mortgage marketing is not being lazy. It is working efficiently. It is working smart. It’s all about using your time and resources to your most profitable advantage.
